House of Mercy
“The spirit of the sovereign Lord is on me to preach the good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and the release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” Isaiah 61
The above scripture, written by the prophet Isaiah, sums up the work of the House of Mercy.
House of Mercy started out in a trailer. After a few years in the trailers, God has taken House of Mercy to a whole new level. In 2011 the ministry received over 296,000.00 to help the poor and the need . In 2012 I believe God is going to exceed that amount. We are very proud to be apart of something we know that God is blessing. True religion is to look after the widows and the poor. Amen!
We give God all the Glory
Volunteers interviewing and praying for the needs. Coming together in agreement and praying for healing
Praying for healing, physical, emotional and just Gods love to touch his children
The poor, the homeless, the needy, the hungry, the broken, the drug addicts, the prostitutes, the sick and those in need of healing are received and loved in spiritual and practical ways.
Financial and food assistance are just a few of the ways in which the staff and volunteers help those who are experiencing difficulties. Other ministries in Wilmington, similar to the House of Mercy, are supported by our staff, who visit them and pray for the lost and the needy.
God is doing great and mighty things here at the House of Mercy. People are being saved, Healed set free and delivered from physical, emotional pains just by simply opening up our doors and praying. The Global river church and House of Mercy ministries is call to take back Wilmington for the Lord and this is one way to accomplish that by Opening up our doors and allowing God to reach the city by using us . God gets all the Glory Amen!!
